Which town has its market on which day? Below is the full weekly overview, and per town the location, times and type of market, checked against municipal sources and local media. I enjoy wandering one myself on a free morning.
There is a mercadillo somewhere every single day: from the huge Tuesday market in Fuengirola and the Thursday market in Torremolinos to the Saturday market by Puerto Banús and Málaga's big Sunday market at Cortijo de Torres. The table shows at a glance where to go today.

Málaga city also has neighbourhood markets every weekday (see the Málaga block below). Market days can shift or be cancelled around public holidays and ferias; most markets wind down around 2pm.

Markets in Fuengirola: Tuesday, saturday and sunday
- TuesdayRecinto Ferial (Los Boliches). approx. 9am-2pm, street market. With over 400 stalls one of the biggest weekly markets in Andalusia.
- SaturdayRecinto Ferial. approx. 9am-2pm, flea market (rastro). Over 300 stalls with second-hand goods, antiques and curiosities only.
- SundayCalle Méndez Núñez (Santa Amalia area). approx. 9am-2pm, street market. Smaller Sunday market with around 130 stalls, mostly clothing and textiles.
During the ferias of Fuengirola and Los Boliches the markets on the fairground are temporarily cancelled.
Markets in Málaga city: Wed + sat and sunday
- Wed + SatAvenida de Europa (Huelin district). 9am-2pm, street market. Officially called 'Europa': the best-known city market, around 170 stalls per edition.
- SundayCortijo de Torres, Avenida de las Malagueñas (Recinto Ferial). 9am-3pm, street market. With over 300 stalls the biggest market in the city. Some guides say Wednesday, but the market is on Sunday.
- SundayCalle José Blánquez 'El Maño', next to Cortijo de Torres. 9am-3pm, flea market (rastro). Second-hand market with around 135 stalls, right next to the big Sunday market.
- Mon-SatNeighbourhood markets across the city. 9am-2pm, street market. Monday Teatinos and Campanillas, Tuesday Puerto de la Torre, Churriana and Palma-Palmilla, Wednesday also Virgen de Belén and Colonia Santa Inés, Thursday Ciudad Jardín and Cruz de Humilladero, Friday Miraflores and Los Corazones, Saturday also El Palo and Argentea.
The Mercado de Bailén is a covered market hall (Monday to Saturday), not a street market. 'La Paz' is an informal name for the Wednesday market on Avenida Virgen de Belén.
Markets in Torremolinos: Thursday and sunday
- ThursdayRecinto Ferial, Avenida del Real (next to the Plaza de Toros). 9am-2pm, street market. The weekly Torremolinos market: clothing, shoes, flowers and fresh produce.
- SundayRecinto Ferial (same grounds). approx. 9am-2pm, flea market (rastro). Around 100 stalls with antiques, vinyl, books and second-hand finds.
Markets in Marbella: Monday and saturday
- MondayRecinto Ferial Las Albarizas (near La Cañada). 9am-2pm, street market. Marbella town's big Monday market, around 365 stalls.
- SaturdayAvenida Pilar Calvo, by the Plaza de Toros of Nueva Andalucía (5 minutes from Puerto Banús). 9am-2pm, street market. Fashion, vintage and crafts: the Saturday market next to Puerto Banús. There is no market in Puerto Banús itself.
Market in San Pedro de Alcántara: Thursday
- ThursdayRecinto Ferial San Pedro (bottom of Calle Jorge Guillén). morning (approx. 9am-2pm), street market. Around 200 stalls, lots of textiles, leather and household goods. Part of the municipality of Marbella.
Markets in Benalmádena: Friday and wednesday
- FridayArroyo de la Miel, esplanade by Tívoli (Avenida del Manantial). approx. 9am-2pm, street market. Big Friday market with over 200 stalls, easy to combine with a walk down to the marina.
- WednesdayRecinto Ferial La Paloma (Avenida de Gandhi). morning (approx. 9am-2pm), flea market (rastro). Antiques and second-hand. Note: this rastro is on Wednesday, not on Sunday.
Markets in Estepona: Wednesday and sunday
- WednesdayCalle Francia and Avenida Alemania (Las Mesas area, by the new Mercadona). 9am-2pm, street market. Moved in early 2025: the old location on Avenida Juan Carlos I is no longer correct. Around 250 stalls.
- SundayPuerto Deportivo (marina). 9am-2pm, street market. Marina market with around 50 stalls: bags, leather, jewellery and crafts.
By Estepona's Plaza de Toros there is sometimes a second-hand rastro on Sunday, but not every week: it varies, check with the town hall.
Markets in Mijas (Costa, Pueblo and La Cala): Saturday, wed + sat, wednesday, sunday and thursday
- SaturdayRecinto Ferial Las Lagunas (Mijas Costa). approx. 9am-2pm, street market. The Las Lagunas weekly market is on Saturday, not on Wednesday.
- Wed + SatRecinto Ferial of La Cala de Mijas. approx. 9am-2pm, street market. Around 150 stalls, lovely to combine with the promenade and the beach.
- WednesdayPlaza Virgen de la Peña, Mijas Pueblo. morning (approx. 9am-2pm), craft market. Small craft market with around 40 stalls in the white mountain village.
- SundayRecinto Ferial Las Lagunas. 9am-2pm, flea market (rastro). Since late 2022 on the Las Lagunas fairground, so no longer at the racecourse (Hipódromo).
- ThursdayCalypso urbanisation (Mijas Costa). morning (approx. 9am-2pm), street market. Smaller neighbourhood market between Fuengirola and Marbella.
Markets in Nerja: Tuesday and sunday
- TuesdayGrounds on Calle Mirto (Almijara area). morning, until approx. 2pm, street market. Over 100 stalls on the edge of town, not in the centre.
- SundaySame grounds on Calle Mirto (Almijara area). morning, flea market (rastro). Second-hand and curiosities; arriving early pays off here.
Market in Torrox: Monday
- MondayTorrox Pueblo (Plaza de la Almedina, small) and Torrox Costa (promenade by Avenida Esperanto, large). approx. 9am-2pm, street market. Two editions on the same day: the village one is cosy, the coastal market has roughly 100 to 200 stalls.
Markets in Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar: Thursday
- ThursdayEsplanade next to Avenida Juan Carlos I. 9am-2pm, street market. Around 100 stalls in the capital of the Axarquía.
- ThursdayAround Plaza de la Paz and Avenida Duque de Ahumada. 9am-2pm, street market. Around 190 stalls, on the same day as Vélez town.
On Saturday there are small markets in Benajarafe and Caleta de Vélez; set-up and times vary, check locally.
Markets in Coín: Saturday and sunday

- SundayBy the La Trocha shopping centre (Coín-Cártama road). 9am-2pm, flea market (rastro). Second-hand, antiques and furniture. Inside La Trocha you will also find the Guadalhorce valley farmers' market on Sunday mornings.
Market in Alhaurín el Grande: Thursday
- ThursdayParque Ferial Alcalde Antonio Solano. 9am-2pm, street market. Around 75 stalls inland in the Guadalhorce valley.
Market in Alhaurín de la Torre: Wednesday
- WednesdayRecinto Ferial (Avenida de la Alhambra). 9am-2pm, street market. Weekly market on the fairground, close to Málaga and the airport.
Markets in Manilva and Sabinillas: Friday, monday and sunday
- FridayPaseo Marítimo of San Luis de Sabinillas. 9am-2pm, street market. The municipality's big Friday market, along the seafront promenade.
- MondayCalle Pozo del Rey, Manilva village. morning (approx. 9am-2pm), street market. Small village market among the vineyards.
- SundayRecinto Ferial of Sabinillas. morning, flea market (rastro). Over 100 stalls with second-hand goods, antiques and vinyl.
- Summer, Fri-SunPaseo Marítimo of Sabinillas. approx. 6pm-11pm, evening market (summer). The Mercado del Mar: crafts and local produce on summer evenings.
Market in Casares: Friday
- FridayVillage centre, Calle de la Carrera. 9am-2pm, street market. Small but atmospheric, around 25 stalls in the white mountain village. Bring cash. There is no weekly market in Casares Costa.

What days are the markets in Fuengirola?
Fuengirola's big weekly market is on Tuesday at the Recinto Ferial in Los Boliches, with over 400 stalls one of the largest in Andalusia. On Saturday the same grounds host a flea market (rastro) with second-hand goods and antiques, and on Sunday there is a smaller market on Calle Méndez Núñez.
Which day is the market in Torremolinos?
The Torremolinos weekly market is on Thursday at the Recinto Ferial on Avenida del Real, next to the Plaza de Toros. On Sunday the same grounds host a rastro with antiques and second-hand finds.
When is the market in Marbella?
Marbella has two big markets: Monday at the Recinto Ferial Las Albarizas (near La Cañada) and Saturday in Nueva Andalucía by the Plaza de Toros, close to Puerto Banús. San Pedro de Alcántara has its market on Thursday.
Is there a market at Puerto Banús?
The Saturday market of Nueva Andalucía is held by the Plaza de Toros, about five minutes from Puerto Banús, with plenty of fashion, vintage and crafts. There is no weekly or Sunday market in Puerto Banús itself.
Where can I find a flea market (rastro) on the Costa del Sol?
Most rastros are on Sunday: Málaga (next to Cortijo de Torres), Torremolinos, Las Lagunas in Mijas, Nerja, Sabinillas and Coín (La Trocha). Fuengirola holds its rastro on Saturday and Benalmádena on Wednesday.
What time do the Costa del Sol markets open and close?
Almost all street markets run in the morning, from roughly 9am to 2pm; Málaga's Sunday market runs until 3pm. Go early: it is cooler, the choice is better and parking is easier.
