Do you also need an NIE number?
The NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) is Spain's tax ID number for foreigners, required to buy property, open a bank account or sign at the notary. You can apply through the Spanish consulate in the UK, in person at the Policía Nacional, or through a lawyer or gestor holding your power of attorney.
